Let's write everything in terms of x
GIVEN: y is 30 percent of x.
So, y = 0.3x
Quantity A: 25 percent of y = 0.25y = 0.25(0.3x) = 0.075x
Quantity B: 55 percent of x = 0.55x
Subtract 0.075x from both quantities to get:
Quantity A: 0
Quantity B: 0.475x
Since x is POSITIVE, we know that 0.475x > 0
Answer: B
