Let x = Melissa's age

Myra is 5 years older than Melissa
So, x + 5 = Myra's age

Jonathan is 2 years older than Melissa
so, x + 2 = Jonathon's age

Jim is 3 years older than Jonathan.
x + 2 = Jonathon's age
So, (x + 2) + 3 = Jim's age
Simplify: x + 5 = Jim's age

We get:
Quantity A: x + 5
Quantity B: x + 5

Answer: C

Jim = 3 + Jona
myra= 5 + melissa
Jona= 2 + melissa
and asked to compare jim and myra ages.
Lets start with myra and jona, since both are older than melissa, we can notice that myra is 3 years older than Jona.
and also jim is 3 years older, we can conclude that their ages must be equal.
