The quantity B is simplified to \(\frac{3}{4}* \frac{x}{n}\)
Then you need to compare \(\frac{x}{n}\) vs \(\frac{3}{4}* \frac{x}{n}\)
Since \(xn \neq 0\) we can assume both x = 1 and n = 1 then quantity A is bigger (1>3/4) but when x = 1 and n= -1 then B>A (-1<-3/4). The answer is D.

I plugged in and the only reason it is worth mentioning at all is that this problem provides a good example of when to start by plugging in 'weird' numbers. Choose 1/3 for X for example and 1/6 for n. Just a reminder for those of us who have done so many problems and plugged in so many times that we might forget that one of the major reasons to plug in (another being to get more info especially on a quant comp, must be or could be ?) is to make the problem simpler.
