Let's divide the numerator and denominator of the left-hand side by 4 to get 4/8.75.
We know that the greater the denominator the smaller the number. Comparing quantity A 4/8.75 with quantity B 4/9 ====> 8.75 < 9 hence quantity A is greater.
or multiply the numerator and denominator of the right hand side by 4 to get 16/36 which is smaller than 16/35
