Given,
\(x*y < 0\)
Hence either x or y is less than 0 but not both.
Only \(+ve * -ve < 0\)
However we do not know the exact value of x and y
hence,
\(x+y > 0\) or \(x+y < 0\)
Case 1: x = -1 and Y = 10; Case 2 x= -10 and y= 1
It really depends on by how much margin is any of the values more than the other.
Therefore the answer is D
