The boy goes faster or at same speed, the distance from his home to his school is a constant
i.e. \((S_1)(T_1) = (S_2)(T_2) = D\)
Let the actual time be \(T\)
\((10)(T + \frac{15}{60}) = (12)(T + \frac{5}{60})\)
\(10T + \frac{10}{4} = 12T + 1\)
\(2T = \frac{3}{2}\)
\(T = \frac{3}{4}\) hours
Now, \(D = (10)(\frac{3}{4} + \frac{15}{60}) = (12)(\frac{3}{4} + \frac{5}{60}) = 10\)
