a is not equal to b then either one of them is bigger. Irrespective of being fractions or integers. For ease taking plugging integers would give -ve value in either cases.

Useful property: \((x-y) = (-1)(y-x)\)
We know this because \((x-y) = (-1)(-x+y)= (-1)(y-x)\)
So we can rewrite Quantity A as follows:
Quantity A: \(\frac{a-b}{b-a}=\frac{(a-b)}{(-1)(a-b)}=-1\)
Quantity B: 1
