If (3 – z)(z + 4) = 0, then EITHER 3-z = 0 OR z+4 = 0
case i: If 3-z = 0, then z = 3, which means we get:
Quantity A: 3
Quantity B: 5
In this case, Quantity B is greater
case ii: If z+4 = 0, then z = -4, which means we get:
Quantity A: -4
Quantity B: 5
In this case, Quantity B is greater
BOTH possible cases yield the same outcome: Quantity B is greater
So, the correct answer is B
