We COULD use a bit of number sense here, but since \(\sqrt{10}\) is greater than \(3\), the two quantities are relatively close in value.
So, on test day, I'd probably be super safe and just use the onscreen calculator to get:
QUANTITY A: \(\sqrt{10} + \sqrt{10} ≈ 3.2 + 3.2 ≈ 6.4\)
QUANTITY B: \(7\)
