Good question, I felled into trap and selected wrong option B
Given x > 2, so it can either be integer or a decimal no.
Lets check x = 14/5 ----> Option A = 3x+9 --> (3 * 14 + 9 * 5) / 5 ---> (42 + 45) / 5 ---> 87/5
Option B = 8x-5 -----> ( 8 * 14 - 5 * 5) / 5 ----> (112 - 25) / 5 ---> 87/5, hence Option A = Option B
Lets check for x = 3 ---- Option A = 18 and Option B = 19, hence Option A < Option B,
Since we have multiple right answers, Option D is correct ans choice

Given:
Quantity A: 3x + 9
Quantity B: 8x - 5
Subtract 3x from both quantities:
Quantity A: 9
Quantity B: 5x - 5
Add 5 to both quantities:
Quantity A: 14
Quantity B: 5x
Divide both quantities by 5:
Quantity A: 2.8
Quantity B: x
Since we're told x > 2, it COULD be the case that x = 2.8, in which case the two quantities are equal.
Or it COULD be the case that x = 2.1, in which case quantity A is greater.
Or it COULD be the case that x = 3, in which case the quantity B is greater.
Answer: D
