We can apply some number since here.
Quantity A: |x| + |y|
Since x and y are non-zero values, then we can be certain that |x| is positive, and |y| is positive .
This means the sum |x| + |y| must be POSITIVE
Quantity B: x + y
If x and y are both negative numbers, then x + y must be NEGATIVE
Answer: A

Though the magnitutde of both A and B will be same.
The overall sign of A will be +ve while of B will be -ve.
Hence, A is greater than B
