If 1/7 of x devices were defective, then (1 - 1/7) = 6/7 of x were NON defective.
If 7/10 of the NON defective devices were sold, then (1 - 7/10) = 3/10 of them were NOT sold.
Thus, the number of NON defective devices that were NOT sold = 6/7 * 3/10 * x = 18/70x
18/70 > 1/4, so Quantity A is greater.
If 7/10 of the NON defective devices were sold, then (1 - 7/10) = 3/10 of them were NOT sold.
Thus, the number of NON defective devices that were NOT sold = 6/7 * 3/10 * x = 18/70x
18/70 > 1/4, so Quantity A is greater.

I chose numbers.
I made x = 35.
1/7 were defective and tossed out (5).
The rest were non-defective (30). 70% were sold (21). The rest were not (9).
If you plug 35 into Option B, you get 8.75 which is smaller than Option A (9).
A is greater.
