Useful property: \(-k = (-1)(k)\)
So we can rewrite the Quantity A as follows: \((−1)(k)^{(−1)(k)}\)
Plug \(k = −2\) into the expression to get: \((−1)(-2)^{(−1)(-2)}=(−1)(-2)^{2}=(−1)(4) = -4\)
So, Quantity A = -4, which means the two quantities are equal.
Answer: C
