Useful property: If two inequalities are such that their inequality symbols are facing the same direction, we can ADD those inequalities.

From the given inequality, we can make the two following conclusions:
w > x
y > z

Since the inequality symbols are facing the same direction, we can ADD those inequalities to get: w + y > x + z

Answer: A

the |y| can be greater or lesser than w right
so why is it not option D

I agree

If we take the inequality by chunk we do know that

\(w>x>0\)

and they are positive

\(0>y>z\)

And they are negative

However we do know the magnitude of the numbers

Could be anything

For example

w=10 nd x=3

y=-3 and z=-4

w+y=7

x+z=-1

The answer is A

BUT if we have

w=10 and y -3 we have w+y=7

and x=9 and z=-2 and x+z=7

And the answer is C

I agree that it is D the OA

I agree that it is D the OA



IMO, Z cannot be -2 if Y is -3, since 0 > y > z. Hence the above numbers don't hold.
