Based on the information of the stem we do have
4*W=12
W=3
New/Old= 3/1=3
The width increased by a factor of 3
C is the answer

The length of a rectangle increased by a factor of 2, and at the same time its area increased by a factor of 6.
Area of rectangle = length (l) * width(w)
Area increased by a factor of 6 and length increased by a factor of 2
=> Area = 6 * Old Area
=> Length = 2 * Old Length
=> 6 * Old Area = 2 * Old Length * Width
=> 3 * Old Area = Old Length * Width
=> Width should be equal to 3 * Old Width to make the equation
=> 3 * Old Area = Old Length * 3 * Old Width
=> Quantity A = Quantity B = 3
So, Answer will be C
