The answer should be B.
Number of people employed = x
Rate (x people) = (1/270)*x = x/270
W = R*T
--> 1 = (x/270) * 18
--> x = 15 days
Number of people required to complete the work in 18 - 3 (15 days) = y
--> R(y) = y/270
W = R*T
--> 1 = (y/270) * 15
--> y = 18 days
y - x = 3 days
Hence, we need 3 more people to finish the work 3 days sooner, i.e. in 15 days.
