Join BD
BD acts as Hypotenuse to both the right triangles DAB and DCA

Therefore,
\(AD^2 + AB^2 = DC^2 + BC^2\)

\(\sqrt{18}^2 + x^2 = 5^2 + 3^2\)

\(x^2 = 25 + 9 - 18\)

\(x = \sqrt{16}\)

\( x = 4\)

Hence, option C
