Find f(3) and f(4) in terms of A and B:
\(f(3) = A(3)^2 + 3B + 7 = 34\)
\(9A + 3B = 27\)
\(f(4) = A(4)^2 + 4B + 7 = 51\)
\(16A + 4B = 44\)
Use systems of equations to find A:
\(3(16A+4B)-4(9A + 3B) = 3(44)-4(27)\)
\(48A + 12B - 36A - 12B = 24\)
\(12A = 24\)
\(A = 2\)
Plug A = 2 back into 9A + 3B = 27 to find B:
\(9(2) + 3B = 27\)
\(3B = 9\)
\(B = 3\)
Since 3>2, B is greater than A.
\(f(3) = A(3)^2 + 3B + 7 = 34\)
