We know that among a group of horses, a few are seven years old while the remanıng are eleven years old and the sum of the ages of all the horses is 83 years; we need to compare the number of horses that are 7 years old with the number of horses that are 11 years old.
Let the number of horses that 7 years old and that are 11 years old be x and y respectively, so we get $\(7 x+11 y=83\)$ which, using hit \& trial, is true for $\((x, y)=(4,5)\)$ only
So, the number of horses that are 7 years old is 4 and the number of horses that are 11 years old is 5.
Hence column $B$ has higher quantity than column $A$, so the answer is (B).
