To solve, first find out how far the Cyclist would have traveled in 2 mins before stopping, which would be 18 * 2/60 = 0.6 miles.
Next how long it will take for Adam to cover 0.6 miles at 5 miles / 60 min = 7.2 mins.
So A is larger.
Next how long it will take for Adam to cover 0.6 miles at 5 miles / 60 min = 7.2 mins.
So A is larger.

You are missing out a point here that even Adam kept jogging, he did not stop for those 2 minutes.
