The answers are B, D and E.
New SP = SP * [1 + (p/100)]
New Earning = E * [1 + (q/100)]
Original ratio = SP/E
--> New ratio = SP * (100 + p)/100 / E * (100 + q)/100
= SP * (100 + p) / E * (100 + q)
--> Increase in ratio = New ratio - Old ratio
= [SP * (100 + p) / E * (100 + q)] - SP/E
= (SP/E) * (p - q)/(100 + q)
--> % Increase = [(SP/E) * (p - q)/(100 + q)] / (SP/E) * 100
= 100(p - q)/(100 + q)
Check which options can be expressed in this form.
