At 60 miles per hour, the time it takes to travel 10 miles is 10/60 hours.
How did I get 10/60 hours? I used the equation Speed = Distance/Time: 60 = 10/x. I just rearranged the equation.
We need to find the speed at which it takes the bile to cover the same distance in 10/x hours (where x is constant speed).
Since the difference in time is 5/60 hours, I set up this equation: 10/60 + 5/60 = 10/x
Solve this equation by combing the fractions -> 15/60 = 10/x
Simplify and solve to get x=40.
