Let the total population be n.
Given , \(\frac{2}{5}\) of the total population is employed
Or, \(\frac{40000}{n}\)=\(\frac{2}{5}\)
Or, n=100000
#Unemployed people = 100000-40000 = 60000
#female who are unemployed= 60000 *(\(\frac{7}{7+5}\))= 60000 * \(\frac{7}{12}\) = 35000
Answer: C
