Since ∠A = ∠C, we k know that ∠C = y°/2.
Add this information to the diagram...
Since angles in a triangle add to 180°...
... we can write: y°/2 + y°/2 + x° = 180°
Simplify to get: y° + x° = 180°
Since OPPOSITE angles are EQUAL,...
... we know that y° = x°
We can now take y° + x° = 180° and replace y° with x° to get: x° + x° = 180°
Simplify: 2x° = 180°
Solve: x = 90
Answer: C
