For 2 graphs to intersect, both equations needs to be equal to each other
So we have |x+1| = 1
Case 1 x+1 = 1 ---> x = 0
Case 2 -x-1 = 1 ---> x = -2
So ans is option D
I made a careless calculation mistake to get this q wrong
So we have |x+1| = 1
Case 1 x+1 = 1 ---> x = 0
Case 2 -x-1 = 1 ---> x = -2
So ans is option D

Given that \(y(x) = |x + 1|\) and \(g(x) = 1\) and we need to find the values of x where the two graphs intersect
Now, the two graphs will intersect when both of their values are same => y(x) = g(x)
=> |x+1| = 1
=> x+1 = 1 or x+1 = -1 (Watch this video to Learn How to Open Absolute Values)
=> x = 1-1 = 0 or x = -1-1 = -2
So, Answer will be D
