Take: (x – 2)(x + 4) – (x – 3)(x – 1) = 0
Expand and simplify each product to get: [x² + 2x - 8] - [x² - 4x + 3] = 0
Simplify to get: 6x - 11 - 0
Add 11 to both sides to get: 6x = 11
Divide both sides by 6 to get: x = 11/6
Answer: E
