Let total amount =100, Financial support from individuals = 22 Financial support from corporations = 37 Percentage amount by which financial support for individuals is less than the amount from corporations = 100 * (37-22)/37 = 40.54 percent

Percent decrease method is to take out difference first and then divide by original number The difference is : 37 - 22 = 15 Now divide with orig: 15/37 = 0.40 or 40%
