from the eqn x = 3y
the other given eqn is 2x-y = 10
make the base of y same i.e 6x-3y=30
this eqn boils down to we have, 6x-30 = 3y
therefore we can equate the two eqn x=6x-30
or, 30 =5x
x = 6
