The median of a set of numbers is the "middle" value in a sorted list. Therefore, the median of the existing series is 25.
The mean of the existing set is (19+22+25+26+28)/5 = 24.
Since we know that each of the numbers was increased by k, k must be 28.5-24 = 4.5
25+4.5 = 29.5
