4200=30% of basic salary
hence salary = 14000
New TA will equal to 10% of latest salary (after promotion)
14000x0.10 =1400
Previous TA = 10,000X0.10 = 1000
Difference = 400
Percentage = 400/1000x100 = 40%

so, salary =10000
TA=0.1*10000=1000
So TA:HRA:Total salary
1000:3000:10000
New. :4200:
Ratio of Ta:HRA=1:3
so 1/3*4200= 1400 new TA
Total salary=10/3*4200= 14000
(New TA-Old TA)/OLD TA=1400-1000/1000=400/1000*100=40%
so, salary =10000
TA=0.1*10000=1000
So TA:HRA:Total salary

New. :4200:
