Let the original price be \($x\)
After increasing the price by 20%, new price is \($1.2x\)
Now, after the sale of 15%, Final price = \($119 = 0.85 (1.2x) = 1.02x\)
i.e. \(x = $116.66\)
Therefore, \(119 = x% of 116.66\)
\(\frac{119}{116.66}(100) = x = 102\)
Hence, option C

I think you have misinterpreted the question.
The 15% off price is 119.
So let the original price of the toy be a. Then the 15% off price is 0.85a=119
From this we can get the original price to be 140.
Now the final price is 20% greater than the 15% off price. i.e (1.2)(119) = 142.8
Now to calculate the percent of the final price to that of the original price:
142.8/140 = 1.02*100 = 102%
The 15% off price is 119.
So let the original price of the toy be a. Then the 15% off price is 0.85a=119
