Let the retail price of the commodity be x.
Then the list price is (0.8)x because of the 20% discount.
Now the festival price is (0.8)(0.7)x because the 30% discount is applied on the list price and not the retail price.
So the final price is 0.56x which is 44% discount price from the retail price.
