In an arithmetic series, when the first(\(a\)) and the last term(\(l\)) is known, the sum = n/2 (a + l)
\(y = 1 + 3 + 5 + ... + 49\)
\(y = \frac{25}{2}(1 + 49)\)
\(y = 625\)
\(x = 51 + 53 + 55 + ... + 99\)
\(x = \frac{25}{2}(51+99)\)
\(x = 25 * 75 = 1875\)
\(x - y = 1875 - 625 = 1250\)
