ABCD is a parallelogram. So, 1) Opposite sides are equal. i.e. x = q and y = p
2) Opposite angles are equal. i.e. <ADC = <ABC and <BCD = DAB
In parallelogram, consecutive angles add upto 180° ,
So, 30° + 31° + <BCD = 180°
< BCD = 180° - 30° - 31°
= 119°
In triangle BCD,
<CBD = 180° - 31° - 119°
= 30°
In any triangle,
Shortest side is opposite the smallest angle.
So, p < q or, p < x which means x > p.
Hence, answer is C.
