I am not sure I got what you meant sir.

In certain hard questions , especially when inequalities are involved, sometimes is best to simplify the inequalities andthen work on the question. Other time is best scenario is to pick up numbers and move one. Easy........

On the GRE your goal is to nail a question correctly as fast as you can. You will not get extra point for your score for the smartest ever solution.

What is important is IF you reach the solution in that specific allotted time.

Now here a 30-second approach: pick up numbers so then the fraction x/y must be an integer

Therefore x=4 , y=2 and z will be 4/2=2

x=4
y=2
z=2

A. 2>3 FALSE
B. 2<3 TRUE
C: 2>5/3 TRUE

30 seconds. Move one. Next question.
