Step-by-Step Solution:
1. Find the value of $x$ :
Given the equation:
$$
\(\frac{1}{x}=0.4\)
$$
Convert the decimal to a fraction to make it easier to work with:
$$
\(0.4=\frac{4}{10}=\frac{2}{5}\)
$$
So, if $\(\frac{1}{x}=\frac{2}{5}\)$, then by taking the reciprocal of both sides:
$$
\(x=\frac{5}{2}=2.5\)
$$
2. Calculate $\(x+2\)$ :
Substitute the value of $x$ :
$$
\(x+2=2.5+2=4.5\)
$$
3. Find the value of $\(\frac{1}{x+2}\)$ :
$$
\(\frac{1}{4.5}\)
$$
To convert this back into a standard fraction, multiply the numerator and denominator by 2 (to remove the decimal):
$$
\(\frac{1 \times 2}{4.5 \times 2}=\frac{2}{9}\)
