Let the monthly salary be denoted by \(x\).
After \(10\%\) provident fund deduction: Remaining salary = \(0.9*x\)
After \(20\%\) spending on food: Remaining salary = \(0.8*0.9*x\)
After \(20\%\) spending on education: Remaining salary = \(0.8*0.8*0.9*x\)
After \(10\%\) spending on entertainment: Final Balance: \(0.9*0.8*0.8*0.9*x=0.5184x\)
We are given that the final balance is $15,552. Thus,
\(x=\frac{15552}{0.5184}\)
\(x=30,000\)
