We know that \(bc = 60\), thus if b is doubled, we get \(2bc' = 60\), where c' is the new value of c. It is easy to see that \(c' = \frac{c}{2}\) in order to keep the product equal to 60. The percentage decrease is computed as \(\frac{\frac{c}{2}-c}{c}*100 = 50%\).

=> b*c= 60
If b is doubled, then c must decrease by what percent so that the product of the two will still equal 60?
=> 2b * \(c_{new}\) = 60 = bc
=> \(c_{new}\) = \(\frac{c}{2}\)
=> c became 50% of its previous value
=> c decreased by 50%
So, Answer will be C
