The key information here is that "r is 25% greater than s." So we take s, increase it by 25%, and we get r. Hence:
1.25s = r
Now we want the value of \(\frac{r}{s}\). We can replace r with 1.25s, given the equation we found above. So we want the value of:
\(\frac{1.25s}{s}\)
The s in the numerator cancels with the s in the denominator, leaving us with just the answer, 1.25.
