Question Statement:

As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate.

Discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.


My response:

The new technology that is being developed day after day is mastering most of our activities, many people start to think that this would be responsible for deteriorating metal capabilities of people to solve problems for themselves. In fact, there are several important aspects that prove that many problems need human mind, feelings in order to solve a problem of human and below these aspects are listed and illustrated.

Although using the technology is leveraging our daily life operations, where people are relying on the smart applications to do daily tasks, in such a way that people have stopped doing elementary calculations, but people need to decide what to cook for a day is their own job. Moreover, social life relationships are solely the responsibility of human to tackle. For example, facebook can remind you of the birthdate of your sister, it may also provide you by a birthday card in order to send to your sister, but It does not tell you what to do if you have a fight with your sister because of your gift did not meet her expectations. Their still be major part of the cake that it solely persons own responsibility to cut and to determine how to divide.

In addition to that, not all of the people solely rely on the technology, actually many of them are developers to that technology. Nowadays, open sources are mastering the applications, where any normal person can have a fingerprint on the technology, so, people are not only users of the technology, but they are developers to that technology. While people can use the network as users, the openness of the sources and the internet allows the people to be owners of the technology. Taking this into consideration, people will keep thinking in order to develop techniques to handle life needs.

Finally, reliance on the technology is person character dependent, while smart people use the technology in order to save time consumed for doing trivial activities, normal people use the technology for watching a video of how to dance and in both of the cases, and neither could use the technology to answer the question on how to handle my exam burden.

To conclude, the fact that the technology does not deteriorate people mental capability to solve problems is actually proofed by the enhancement of the technology, so long as people live, face problems that are emerging day after day, in such a way that people would have to find solutions to the problem using the already exiting mental and technological tools.
