Prompt - Science and technology will one day be able to solve all of society’s problems.

Life has changed non measurably with the introduction of science and technology. Nowadays, we are immensely dependent on technology, that makes our lives easier. From the bulb that lights up a room in the dark to a mobile phone which allows us to talk to anyone, anywhere in the world. There are however infinite number of problems relating to society which prevail. For instance, use of plastic, water supply issues, expensive education etc., some of which can be mitigated with the help of science and technology, however, some are more emotional than technical. For example - voting rights of a section of people in some parts of the world, gender equality, racism and many more which cannot be alleviated with science. This can be further delineated with the following two examples.

Taking History into account, some issues in the society can only be tackled with human help. For instance, until Florence Nightingale there was no profession as nursing and people used to die of Hygiene issues more than war wounds. Although in today's date a robot can clean a room, it perhaps needs a few more years to develop into a machine that can operate on people. but to take care of a person's personal hygiene and emotional state during a crisis, a person needs a human to take care of him.

Some societal issues like the racism that we see in our daily lives can only be ameliorated with awareness and education. Science and technology can show the statistics on how and what is wrong but the final tackling of the issue can only be done through human interference. The recent campaign of "Black lives Matter" was an example of such issue. Which made the nation come together for a cause and such an issue cannot be manipulated with science.

From the above examples, we can come into the conclusion that although science and technology will ease a log of problems and make our lives easier and manageable in the future, some social issues are meant to be handled by the human race.
