As far as I understand, there is a reasonably limited combination of quant and verbal scores that could get one in 330+ score band - 160 in one section and 170 in another section (and every score in between).
There is no question that you need to get a harder second section for both quant and verbal.
Based on your experience or knowledge of the GRE scoring system, can anyone share your opinion: suppose a test-taker made only a couple of mistakes in the first easier quant section and got the harder second section.
How many mistakes can one make and still get 160-165 quant score?

Gre does nbot work that way.
The first section is always on the medium range.

Thanks. So the first section is medium then. If one gets 2 mistakes or less, then how many mistakes onу can make to still get a score above 160? Since there is a bonus for getting the hard section, then one can even make a couple of mistakes or so?
