A and E are very similar, and I chose A, not clear about reason though but I thought because it has specifically mentioned about Freon replacement so it should be correct.

We need to see what can be inferred if the manufacturer's prediction is accurate. The prediction is that replacing Freon with the new refrigerant in new and old fridges will prevent any FURTHER Freon damage to the ozone layer apart from that being done by the Freon already in the atmosphere. Basically the claim is saying further damage can be stopped.

A- This is correct because if Freon is released while replacing then that will continue to cause damage, thus weakening the manufacturer's prediction of preventing any FURTHER damage.
B- Already done damage is not the prerogative of the argument.
C- Reversing damage isn't mentioned. Argument says replacement will stop further damage.
D- Counteract isn't the prerogative of the argument.
E- Environmental damage of 'any kind' is not within the scope of the argument.
