Let's analyze choice by choice
(A) \(36y^2 = x^2 - 9\) --> this is the same after adding -9 to both sides
(B) \(36y^2 = (x - 3)(x + 3)\) --> this is the same after rewriting x^2-9 = (x-3)(x+3)
(C) \(108y^2 + 27 = 3x^2\) --> this is the same after multiplying both sides by 3
(D) \(y^2 = \frac{x^2 - 9}{36}\) -> this is the same after adding -9 to both sides and dividing both sides by 36
(E) \(6y = x - 3\)
