I don't know if GRE officially penalizes for this kind of a behavior. Anyone know? If I write an extra zero at the end?

On the official website for the test takers, nothing is mentioned.

However, if we take a closer look in the OG under the section: question type, the only useful voice is the following

Quote:
Equivalent forms of the correct answer, such as 2.5 and 2.50, are all correct.



So to write 0.5 or 0.50 does not change anything. It is an equivalent form.

I think is safe to infer that there is no such problem.
