We can solve this question using matching operations
Given:
Quantity A: (x+3)(x+3)
Quantity B: x² + 9
Expand and simplify Quantity A to get:
Quantity A: x² + 6x + 9
Quantity B: x² + 9
Subtract x² from both quantities A to get:
Quantity A: 6x + 9
Quantity B: 9
Subtract 9 from both quantities A to get:
Quantity A: 6x
Quantity B: 0
Since x COULD equal 0, the two quantities COULD be EQUAL
Since x COULD be positive, Quantity A COULD be greater
Since x COULD be negative, Quantity B COULD be greater
Answer: D
