We can solve this question using matching operations
Given:
Quantity A: x²
Quantity B: x(x+5)
Expand Quantity B:
Quantity A: x²
Quantity B: x² + 5x
Subtract x² from both quantities:
Quantity A: 0
Quantity B: 5x
Divide both quantities by 5:
Quantity A: 0
Quantity B: x
Answer: D
