So here we are two important clues: the triangle is a right one and the hypotenusd is 10.
Amomg the triplets, we have 6-8-10.
However if we manipulate the triangle either x can be 6 or 8 OR y can be 6 or 8.
Therefore D.

Am I correct ?

Popo
Not necessarily!

\(10^2 = 6^2 + 8^2 = 36 + 64\)

But, we can have so many right triangles, not just 3-4-5
\(10^2 = 90 + 10 = 80 + 20 = 70 + 30\) = ..... and so on
