Take the LCM of the juniors and the seniors 4*3=12

Juniors are 2/3 of 12=8

12 are seniors

Total students are 20=12+8

1/4 of 8 =2 are juniors on trip

2/3 of 12 = 8 of seniors on trip

Students on trip are 8+2=10

NOT on trip are 10/20=1/2

B is the answer

Going:
1/4 J
2/3 S

Not going
3/4 J
1/3 S

J= 2/3S

Adding both fractions of not going after replacing J with S
3/4 * 2/3 = 1/2

1/2 + 1/3 = 5/6
