Hello @Carcass @GreenlightTestPrep !!!

But what happen if we do it with y?

We will have:

3y ---------- 21

And since y is less than 8, it could be larger (7.9)(3) or smaller.

Could you please clarify?

Regards!

You're absolutely right! In order for the incorrect answer to be B, the original information SHOULD read 4 < x < y < 7
I have altered the given information to reflect this.

Kudos for you!!!!

I'm so confused. I keep getting B

x=4/7*y

So, y-x=y - 4/7*y = 3/7*y

A 3/7*y B 3

or

A y B 7

So shouldn't the answer be B since y<7?

You're absolutely right!!

The correct answer SHOULD be D.

4<x<y<7

imagine, x is 4.00001 and y is 6.999999. Still it will be less than 3.

Hence answer should be B. Please correct it.

Hi , just quick confirmation. This question should be 4 < x < y < 8 , not 4 < x< y< 7. Is my understanding correct ?

This question is wrong.

If we have x>4 and x/y=4/7. We have y=7x/4.
Since x>4, we have y=7x/4>7, which contradicts the information provided.
